Found this one on Bloomberg today, but have seen it other places if you care to follow....

very interesting interview with mark z and prof harari i was watching from nearly a year ago. on the state of the world i noticed mz specifically said the risk of a pandemic. i was thinking it was an unusual choice as the most imminent risk but it turned out correct.

 
I live in Washington state and it’s getting bad over here. On Friday night there were two new cases of Coronavirus and as of Saturday afternoon there was one confirmed dead, the first death in the US.

People are rushing out to pack up foods and supplies. It’s so bad that u have to wait in line to get in Costco. The Costco that one of my family members went to was so crowded it was hard to walk.
 
I think we can safely say it's Wild and there is no way to stop it getting to everyone on the damn planet, we've merely been slowing it down.

Over Whelm health care systems 20-30% fatality rate without functioning health care expected, 4months to get to that level I suspect, 6months at best. *

* Or already had in December, might just of been very similar and not a big deal to Westerners ??

Awaiting level of treatment required to keep alive in the UK I guess figures, China is weeks of care sometimes intensive.

Americans always love a good scare. I mean it does make sense to reduce being in crowded areas, wear a mask and have some food in the house but going crazy in Costco is just ridiculous.

Nope, study the figures 50% of reported require a 2-4week stay in hospital and treatment, got to figure some aren't bad enough to report / think it's a cold, when the hospital system has 10Mil needed urgent treatment, how many do you think they can realistically treat ??

UK NHS system is already beyond breaking point and can't treat everyone, without this virus so in the UK definately screwed.

3rd world countrys with no real health system will suffer even from small out breaks.

On the plus side, Long health stocks in America they'll be bankrupting a lot of people with there required treatment.

Calm the fuck down. I have been short the market due the outbreak for weeks, but "20-30% fatality rate" is ridiculous. Read:
