Covid-19: So now what?

There was quite a protest in London despite all restrictions it appears, we can only hope population rise and start burning lockdown proponents in public squares, but hard to imagine they will ever pay for this infamy when most world governments agree on it.
Here going OK btw, son had a Muay Thai fight (no winner in those fights, but he dominated ) this week end, while daughter and myself have been busier grappling. What kind of nefarious shitheads close gyms but allow tobacco and booze stores to open, all in the name of public health ?

Madrid should have people wonder how useful lockdowns are, covid numbers keep going down with the whole city still open except from 12 to 6am, and if not everywhere, regulations are still flouted grossly in quite a few places, including the orgies of face rubbing we do at the gyms and the small events there, I still don´t know anyone who caught covid there (about 1 month ago, the local heath authorities confirmed they hadn´t noted a single transmission in Madrid sports centers, while in Spain they accounted for around 0.28% of all cases)
My neighbourhood, La Moraleja, will be confined for another week btw, it seems there are only 2 districts left in that situation in Madrid, where everything is still open, but people are not supposed to enter or exit them for leisure activities. Might be a political decision, with the right wing Madrid President showing it´s also putting pressure on the rich areas of the capital (it has the wealthiest postal code of all of Spain) while being accused of the contrary a while back. But that´s much of a window dressing as there has been absolutely no enforcement of this neighbourhood lockdown.

Count on the masses to value freedom of choice and independence... nope.
Not sure how reliable the study is but one just came out with the result 67% of spaniards favour tougher restrictions, only 0,9% favour less. So any uptick in number of cases and we might be in deeper regulatory trouble again.

So, probably the ugliest Xmas since WW2 just passed, 9 months wasted, still insane restrictions worldwide, panic boost with every new mutation - Denmark managed to kill all of its visons when a modified covid appeared among them, but that already looks like a futile massacre as several new mutations have popped up. Meanwhile more people I´m often close with have tested positive for covid, and as usual it is no big deal.

So, now what ?

Maintain the proper and recommended status quo until we are vaccinated.

Next question?
