The numbers are not lower than in any other country.
They can be lower then they were before, but that's the case in all other countries too. So Sweden just reacts like all other countries. They have no adavantage of so called herd immunity at all.
Herd immunity does not work, anywhere.
Tye only effect we see is the survival of the fittest. First the weakest get caught, which goes easy. But when the virus has to catch healthier people it slows down as they are more resistant to the virus. That's why it slows down EVERYWHERE.

It's looks like a pattern, among those who bought into the show.
Reminds of the phenomena in the book ,,Thinking Fast And Slow'' , where's a person, who fails to find the direct, worthwhile argument against something, will come with something very close to it, while missing the real point.
Worst part - people were unaware of being tricked, by their own brain. Sorta a blindspot.
Ofcourse, some will do that, due their ego issues.
But the thinking fast part, was related to the emotions, if i remember correct. That would explain a lot, since fear is involved in here.

You need to tell the family of the 1200 people who died in the past 24 hrs covid is over . You need to tell the millions of people supposedly recovered who will have long term problems such as scaring of the lungs or other organ problems covid was just a little fly. A vaccine is irrelevant over the next 24 months as tons will refuse to take initially and it will literally take a yr to actually get it in the market large scale .Since the vaccine will have been developed in 6 months what are the side affects 1-5 yrs out? Who are the guinea pigs to find out?What are the long term ramifications of printing $7 trillion out of thin air? The $'s already weakening . I've noticed price increases of 5-10% on many items at the grocery store vs 6 months ago.
This is incredibly incorrect for 2 reasons:
1. If you don't take a medicine, do we care if you get hurt/die? Social Darwinism at its best.
2. Even if 1/3 of the population doesn't take it, the other 2/3 provides herd immunity. Sure there will be spreads, but much less. And again, see #1.
I expect special groups to be vaccinated by December, and the general population by next spring. If not in the US, in some other countries, like the UK is already paying for 2 different kind of vaccines to be ramped up.
On your #1 people aren't taking it BECAUSE ITS NOT BEEN TESTED PROPERLY . What are the long term side affects? In 5 yrs will millions die because it screwed with your immune system ? As far as herd immunity thats bs . Tons of dr's are already saying even a vaccine might only cause immunity for 3-4 months .Dr Faucci said yesterday this will be with us forever, If this is so easy to find a vaccine for why do we not have vaccine for the flu? Why do 100's of millions get the flu yearly? None of us know what the outcome of this is. But i do know as we fig this out 100's of thousands of small businesses will go under . The world and business has changed forever .
You said next 24 months. Just how many decades do you want for proper testing during a pandemic? I say almost 2.5 years can be enough. Some of the "new"vaccines have been in development for years, due to SARS.
Not to mention a large portion of the non-takers won't take it because they are anti-vaxxers, plain and simple.
And as I said, if the other 2/3 takes it the rest will still be protected up to a point. So yes, a working vaccine will make a huge difference. Don't worry, the Chinese will test it first, they are actually doing it already on their military.
And YOU assumed there will be a vaccine yet, in your next post you are assuming there will never be one. Pick one stand and stick with it.
Oh there will be one wether it works or not but it its russian roulette wethers its safe . Society and our leaders will demand it . You take the vaccine and report back to us in a yr .
