1. Most likely, it is a Chinese-developed bio weapon of Mass Destruction... alledgedly partially funded by the Obama administration, BTW.

2. The virus "got away from containment" somehow... (The Chinese weren't ready to actually use it at this time because they don't have a treatment/vaccine for it.)

There is no reason in the world why ANY country should be researching/developing such a thing... UNLESS they intended to use it as a bio-weapon when it suits them.

"The World" outlawed nerve and mustard gas after WWI, as they killed horrifically and indiscriminatly on a mass scale. Same should apply to bio-weapons.

SHAME on the Chinese... and Obama... (not that they care what the world thinks)!

No one should ever forget that this is the Wuhan China Virus. The virus escaped from the Wuhan research lab in China where they were doing "gain of function" experiments. That anyone in the scientific community would support the notion that the Wuhan China Virus is something that happened in the wild is absurd. Unfortunately lots and lots and lots of research grants are supported by the Chinese.

I do agree with Scaraphagos that the virus escaped, meaning it was not intentionally released, at least by the Chinese government.. One has to consider that it was not the Chinese government but a very small faction within the Chinese scientific community that released the virus. Whether this faction is pro or anti the current Chinese regime has yet to be discussed. Based on the behavior of the Chinese government - not letting any outside observers on site at Wuhan and destroying most evidence, suggests the leaking faction was anti the current regime.

The Chinese have been murdering people in Hong Kong since the protests started. Everyone thinks it's about COVID-19.

It is about Hong Kong. The democrats want to see these protesters crushed just as much as the Chinese. They needed to find a way to stop. Do you think Communists would really worry about killing a couple million people to clamp down on Hong Kong?

Why can do they not call this virus the proper name WUHAN VIRUS?
