COVID-19: How government brainwashed GWB and others

Check out Florida's Covid mortality ranking in comparison to other states in my recent graph comparisons.

It's as you said...not as hunky dory portray to be. In my opinion, DeSantis (he is vaccinated) is doing a very good job keeping the lid on a lot of crap down there. He has to if he plans to run for President. :D

DeSantis has his little cult going down there pretending to be republican Shangrala but they have pretty big government, high crime with raging gang wars all over and a mixed quality of life among other failings. I personally like Disney World but avoid Orlando and that pretty much sums up florida for me.

I'm not giving DeSantis credit for this, because it was true before he took office. However, there's waste in every state, including political theatre bullshit, but FL spends less per capita than any other state in the country:

In terms of taxation, FL has no personal income tax and is 29th in property tax collections. It only collects more in taxes than AK which obviously uses oil to subsidize that:

In terms of crime it's right in the middle of the pack, 26th, just above NY:

I think the raging gang wars were a thing in the 80's. The Miami Vice days are long gone. The Colombians mostly traffic through the Mexican border now. Miami now has lower violent crime rates than most large American cities:

In my opinion, Orlando is the worst major city to live in, in the state. Inland FL is a humid swamp. Best to be by the water where you get the breeze so it doesn't feel so hot in the summer.

Who cares? The topic is the government suppression of the free speach and how well it works affecting the brains of the population brought you by Ilon himself, ta-dam!

Raging gang wars all over? What?

Vaccines are flawed how? If it weren’t for vaccines we would not be open with such low hospitalizations and fatalities as we are today. Look at China’s current struggles. You shouldn’t take the vaccines for granted even if you’re part of the 23% that did not get vaccinated. The truth is you’re living in a vaccinated country and reaping the rewards.

Masks were effective and remain so. The elderly mostly were them in my church and it’s a good thing. As a matter of fact I wouldn’t be surprised to see vulnerable populations continue to mask up for years through flu season. Asian countries with masking culture did especially well through the pandemic without vaccination.

School is a different story, objectively closing schools and remote learning was a failure. There’s no doubt the data on that came back bad. That’s a true lesson learned.

I still don’t personally know any single doctor that was against vaccines or social distancing, masking. My personal doctor still wears an N95 and his office is masked. Pediatrician is the same way. Maybe a few outliers believed in letting the virus spread but very few and not part of the consensus.

Florida is a different climate and should not get spread like in colder weather states. Y’all did mess up with the masking before vaccinations became widespread. I can recall videos of sick people passing out in Florida trying to get care for Covid. It wasn’t as hunky dory as you want to portray it down there.

Florida‘a growing population is due to retirees. It’s a good place to retire and has nothing to do with Covid. People don’t like to be cold when they get old.

I'm not sure you're understanding what my statement is. I'm not arguing the points of COVID vaccines or masks with you. You're going to stick to your story and I'm going to disagree with it. No progress will be made.

I'm arguing that dissenting opinion shouldn't have been squelched. And it shouldn't have been squelched by the government in a supposed "Free Speech" environment. The way you get to truth is through discourse, not propaganda.

You seem to believe this is the way it should be - of course if your side of the speech was disabled, you'd have a problem with it.

Funny coming from the party of Don't say gay bill and then drafting a law to punish a corporation because you don't like their speech.

Cry more hypocrite.

So the spending you highlighted does not include federal money. When you look at Florida’s total spending it is among the highest. Many southern states are “welfare states” but Florida is on another level.

Much of the gang activity is happening in the smaller cities like Jacksonville and in smaller communities outside of Miami. I would stay away from Riviera Beach.

My point is that Florida gets touted as some sort of republican paradise and it’s not. It’s middling at best with some very low points and rough areas.

Where was speech squelched? Are we talking about news networks, YouTube and twitter?

alt right twitter "news" latest nothingburgers making big claims of alphabet agencies being directed to tell twitter and "big tech" to "shut it down!". No mention of who was in the WH at the time when such purported calls were made though. A lot of hoopla about "look at all these ex-CIA/DHS/FBI" hires in big tech" too. All insinuation like every run of the mill conspiracy theory.

You can trust it though because journo washouts who got BDS tweeted it in parts.

Don't worry, congress has got this:

Yes. And health officials were told not to speak out for fear of losing their licenses if they didn't "agree".

I can substantiate with sources on the latter if you desire.
