Twitter was quite correct to suspend accounts of anti-vaxxer clowns pushing the Great Barrington Declaration and other misinformation which was quite dangerous to public health. Nothing these clowns were pushing was truthful or scientific. It is amusing that David Zweig's thread pushes claims which are misinformation like his assertion in post 31 that the flu was more deadly to children than Covid during the recent two years -- a claim which has been debunked and proven incorrect multiple times. Yet here the idiot, David Zweig, is -- trying to claim it is factual. The entire thread by David Zweig is a sad compilation of slanted mistruths. All he did was to prove that both the Trump and Biden administrations pressured Twitter to take down misinformation and that moderation is messy. Both points which were already known and obvious.

Actually the opposite is true and it’s not the laypeople on the left telling you and your ilk you’re wrong, it’s the overwhelming consensus of doctors, scientists and research. It’s your ilk that grabs onto the outliers who peddle dubious and unproven misinformation and try to spread it around as if you all are better trained and experienced than the experts.

It was good vaccine science and good Pandemic preparedness when Trump was President.

He then lost the 2020 Election and shit literally hit the fan from the Pandemic deniers and Anti-Vaccine online rhetoric especially after Trump was booted off Twitter.
  • Today, Trump, Pence, DeSantis are fully vaccinated although I believe Trump and his family are the only ones that are boosted too.
Not as much misinformation/disinformation since the FIFA world cup was full of vaccinated soccer players (+90% of them) that didn't drop dead nor suddenly collapse from heart problems during/after a FIFA game...
  • The biggest sporting event in the world and the most watched. Great FIFA World Cup games...maybe the best of all times.
In reality, the United States did very poorly in this Pandemic by allowing too much Political bullshit to enter a public/global health crisis in comparison to many countries that did not... removing the politics is the reason why those countries had a better Pandemic response, lower Covid numbers, and LESS misinformation/disinformation.


Life is getting back to normal thanks to the Covid Vaccines and Omicron (mild illness) except for the ridiculous rising cost of living.

I expect when Trump becomes more active on Twitter again...there will be less misinformation/disinformation from his followers. Covid/Vaccine Deniers will take a backseat to the Election Deniers.
