Even ignoring the obvious lag in reporting in Florida, these are the ytd numbers per million people : Florida deaths 889, infections 48871; France deaths 847, infections 34929; Germany deaths 226, infections 13946.
Germany has easily the best data of the three. France and Florida are similar with a slight edge to France. To illustrate, if Florida had matched the death rate in Germany, 24 times 663 is 15912 extra people dead in Florida.
You are taking the conversation out of context. The context of the thread that masks alone are not effective without broader COVID measures to address a pandemic. Nor does the common use of masks within a society stop the spread of a pandemic in the early days when the authorities are denying and hiding the situation like they did in China.

What is this lag that you are talking about? The idiot GWB-Trading made the comment in the middle of July and ware approaching the second week of December. The whole incubation period is supposed to be 14 days. We passed that 4 and half months ago. What lag am I waiting for?
