What we know/official story:
Likely cross-species infection from wild animal(s) bat/pangolin from DNA match...blamed on a Wuhan wet market.
Conspiracy theory 1, dumbfuckery/accidental release:
China has accidentally released infectious diseases in the past (Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity). China’s National Biosafety Laboratory at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where researchers have studied bat coronaviruses is the "suspected" culprit.
Argument for:
-Proximity to outbreak hot zones
-History of having done similar w/SARS
cons:
-"we've learned from our mistakes"
Conspiracy theory 2, bioweapon:
Argument for:
-Difficult to contain/airborne
-carriers don't get that ill
-spares children
-Appears to be purposefully made to "cripple" a population rather than decimate it
Cons:
-It's evolution stupid, of course it's going to look perfect on paper if it's evolving rapidly, infectious diseases evolve to be infectious.
-There are viruses that attack certain demographics already while sparing others
-At this time, no evidence of genetic manipulation has been found
released by China
Argument for:
-Clamp down on surging separatists movements in HK, avoiding an "Arab Spring" situation
-You can't blame China for exerting martial law in HK, if it's being done everywhere.
-World doesn't bat an eye to quarantines
Cons:
-Economic toll too great compared to losing control of HK
-Risk of blow back if "plot" discovered
-Chinese are by & large content w/the status quo, risk of civil war was unlikely
released by USA
Argument for:
-Waging economic tariff war against China, crippling their economy forces them to the table
-Iran, coincidentally enough, got it bad
cons:
-Too messy, & risk to Americans too great
-We're the "good guys", we'd never do that
-Iran/China relationships & trade are solid, which would explain the outbreak
release by Russia
Argument for:
-One of few players with bioweapons development/capabilities
-Allows Manchurian candidate to clamp down on civilians/elections once it reaches USA (no need for foreign election interference)
-Low number of cases, despite sharing quite a bit of border with China
-Wrecking Europe
-Doesn't make much sense, which makes it less suspicious
cons:
-Cordial w/China, wouldn't make sense to release in their biggest ally's territory
-Too risky
-OP is a Russia conspiracy shill
release by Terrorists
Argument for:
-Muslims getting thrown into concentration camps in China
-Terrorists don't give a fuck
cons:
-No one's fessed up, & they're generally quick to do so
-they're goat fuckers, where are they going to get bio-weapons from?
