But he is being held by the Brits right now for jumping bail which is not an extra-judicial process. It is part of their criminal law.
And he has not had a final, formal extradition hearing to the United States, at HIS request, because he has asked the court for more time and delay to gather evidence.
I am not up on his case of late so can adjust my thinking quite easily with more information, but I have not seen any evidence that he is being held "extra-judicially" as in some type of gitmo arrangement.
The brits are holding him for jumping bail. That is a criminal charge.
I personally think the guy is stupid and unstable. The embassy thing was just weird. I am a bit troubled by what is happening with him though. Is he going to turn up dead in jail or something like that?
