Given her popularity, the book sales, the constant performances on Fox News, etc. she is representative of the thinking of many of the members of the republican party, just like Rush is, like Hannity is, like Savage is, etc.

Mann Coulter is very careful in her choice of words, they are not accidental, and because she is not running for office she can be a hatchet Mann for the party. Remember, Bush officially rarely denounces the flame throwing that comes from the radical right wingers like Mann Coulter, Savage, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.

I'm quite partisan but I doubt I've seen/heard Rush and Coulter a composite twenty hours.
O'Reilly hosts cables highest rated program. I think a whopping 3 million a night tune in. The MSNBC clowns attract less than a million viewers each evening. Air America couldn't stay on the air.
Contrast all that to the popularity and fame of Will Rodgers who was by your thinking, the voice of the New Deal.
