My serious question :
Why are conservatives upset over a bunch of black people kneeling during the national anthem? I thought they were the ones who supported freedom of speech and expression even if that speech or expression offended others, such as saluting the flags of america's enemies (namely the nazis and the confederacy) or saying extremely inflammatory or insensitive things.
Is it a patriotism thing? But then how is saluting the nazi flag (an enemy that killed hundreds of thousands of our nations greatest generation) okay?
Is it because these players are rich? Do the rich businessmen who donate to both parties have a right to express themselves? Did trump when he was a private citizen?
Is it because these players are using a private organizations platform? The organization doesn't seem to mind - and forcing them would violate their rights under the conservative belief structure.
Shouldn't every conservative on her be exclaiming: we disagree with your opinion but support your right to express it!
why are conservatives upset by this?
But it is also freedom of speech to express discontent and outrage at someone else's speech. No one is taking away these folks' rights to kneel during the anthem. Many of us are calling them idiots, and opting to no longer follow the NFL - that is our right to do so.
I am not going to watch football
I will be avoiding under armour and nike and other brands these NFL players endorse
and I will continue to be saddened over what these leftist losers have done to our country...
until someone in the NFL
explains what exactly they are protesting...
If it is still what Kaepernick was protesting...
for BLM...
I expect NFL ratings to drop significantly.
If I had the money I would be organizing the USAFL.
Seriously Obama was president of the United States.
These guys make millions and the owners have billions.
Are they being oppressed? I thought most of them were black?
So who the hell is being oppressed in the black community and who is doing it?
Are there no programs?
Do then not have access to cash, housing, obama phones?
Now if they wanted to get into specifics and and say sometimes in the workforce they do not do as well as others = I say... lets discuss it, maybe we can fix it but discussing facts.
But... till one of these NFL types has a real dialogue on this subject...
I will be exercising my rights to stand up for the flag of this really great nation. Not perfect but great.
If someone was arresting them for kneeling, that would be suppression of their right for speech.
Makes too much sense. Not allowed. As fans, we tune in or go to games to see a sporting spectacle, not to be subjected to the ignorant grandstanding of black racists with room temperature IQs. The National Anthem and flag are important national symbols. To have them gratuitously insulted by overpaid thugs is highly offensive.
They are free to make their case or protests on their own time, that is if they can find the time between beating up their girl friends, fighting with cops or taking illegal drugs.
What they imagine they are protesting is irrelevant because of the offensiveness of their actions. However, their claims of oppression or whatever are ludicrous. The people who should be protesting are whites who suffer discrimination through racial quotas in everything from education to careers. Black on white crime is probably 100 times white on black crime. In some especially egregious crimes like rape, it is probably 1000 to one.
Some black thugs got shot by cops and maybe a couple of blacks who were minding their own business did get shot. So do plenty of whites, like that woman in Minneapolis who called the cops, only to be gunned down by an affirmative action somali cop. We have an imperfect system that deals with it. Whites are expected to accept that. Blacks are allowed to burn down cities, riot, loot and attack innocent bystanders and if we complain, we are uncaring racists.
People are sick of it. We get it daily from the media. Now we have to have this crap shoved in our faces by overpaid athletes? No, we don't. We can change the channel and watch decent people play golf or tennis or race cars. We can get off our butts and work out or read a book.
They can make their voices heard all they like...off the field. They are paid to play football, not demonstrate political activism or complain about how tough it is to be black. They have celebrity, a microphone, and a willing media to let them tell their story. It is a discussion worth having, just not on the football field.

Howie Long makes powerful statement reminding fans about the purpose of anthem protests

National anthem protests have become such a divisive issue that the aim of Colin Kaepernick’s original protest has been lost on a lot of people. NFL on FOX analyst Howie Long took time to remind viewers that these players who decide to protest aren’t disrespecting the country, but instead fighting against racial inequality.
Standing for the anthem is something I would not choose to do, but I fully support the right to do it. That being said, what’s being lost in the criticism of the form of the protest is the message of inequality. Put it in perspective: As a white father having raised three boys, there were a million things to worry about on a daily basis. But it’s impossible for me to understand the challenges that an African-American father faces at every turn while raising his children. But in a league that is comprised of 70% African-American players, if you’re a white player in an NFL locker room, that puts you in a position to try to better understand those struggles, and, subsequently as we have seen, show your support for your teammates in your own way. Understanding starts with a dialogue, and the most important part of dialogue is to listen.
Instead of ripping players for how they’re making their voices heard, take the time to actually listen to what they’re saying.
Let's be honest. We are not talking about big brain intellectuals. Most of these players are severely below average in intelligence and lacking basic judgment and impulse control. They are easily manipulated by race hustlers. That is why I reserve most of my criticism for the owners and league management. They pretend to support our troops, law enforcement and their communities but fall all over themselves to support thugs who actually support killing police. Unacceptable.
And they wonder why we call them racists.
Typical racist Fascist Trumptard.
Zieg Heil Trump!
