Could not sell out of a penny stock

Are you sure the amount of shares the platform was trying to sell was not greater than your position amount? It seems like it to me.

Lindq is correct. This is one of the "things against you" that one has to overcome in the market: Spreads and Fills. By default you start on the disadvantaged side.

And a stock that moves $17to 27 in one day+ gaps down 50% in 24 hours; sounds like he got off easy.
Or put another way; why would anyone name a stock that hit $100 bucks a penny stock??
$16 to $3 in one week; expect more horrible fills/surprises/trouble.
NOT to worry; if this bull market turns into a bear----- that stock could move up big time:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:

It had nothing to do with the penny stock at all as it turns out. Well, it was hard to borrow because it was a low float penny stock. But the reason for error was I was going net short on the position after accounting for stop loss quantity.
