Could Microsoft 'Bing' Overtake Google in 2012?

This is interesting data. It would be cool to see a graph showing historical search rates.

I don't believe Bing is going to overtake Google just because Google already has a large infrastructure. It has Google adwords which is used by millions of people. Google is the industry leader and any sane marketer is not going to take his chances with an up and coming search engine when they can easily work with the already established Google.

Furthermore Google's main business is the search engine and tracking searches. Microsoft's business is operating systems. It is a simple problem of allocation of resources.

Google is going to win in the long run.

Quote from bearice:

Microsoft Bing blocks pornography search. Whereas google does not block pornography search. That is the reason google search share is 65%.

The majority of internet traffic is pornography, and probably over three quarters of the male population with access to it, use it, so there's going to be a hell of a lot of murderers and rapists in the near future. In fact, that's pretty much all society is going to consist of. According to statistics, 40% of visitors to porn sites are women.

I highly doubt 40% of visitors to porn sites are women. Do you have statistics somewhere to support this claim?

Don't worry brother, I don't think you are going to be raped anytime soon.

Quote from bearice:

Think of future. People involved with and addicted to pornography will definately get involved in rape and sexual violence in future.

Found some statistics (6-3-2010)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/03/porn-search-capital-of-th_n_599856.html

3) 40 million americans are regular visitors to porn sites. 1 in 3 porn viewers are women (ok, this surprises me).

10) 34% of internet users have received unwanted porn.

Quote from bearice:

The final Warning for World War 3 has been sent, if world pornography is not destroyed and world pornography people and useless people are not culled immediately. World high inflation is unbearable and at its peak. World resources are in serious trouble. Animals are dying of starvation because 1 Billion useless people are eating food and occupying space. If animals die then human beings will not survive.

42 USA Senators ask federal prosecutions of adult pornography and Google servers are located in USA. Google is one of the biggest reasons for spread of pornography worldwide. So Google will be in serious trouble in coming days because google allows pornography search.

Damn, you may be right. In Japan they sell used schoolgirl panties from vending machines. Look what is happening there now.
