Costco requires people to spend money on membership while most people go to Walmart. And I have 5 Walmarts within 10 mile radius, but no Costco.
Food shortages may not be permanent. While people still need to buy food.
Whatever food was sold to restaurants, now is being sold via Walmart and other supermarkets. So now they should sell more of it than ever before. This may also be the reason for temporary shortages, since people don’t go to restaurants anymore and need to buy most food at supermarkets.
