When the party is over its not wise to just stay in there hoping and hoping that past reputation as a great company will last forever. All trends eventually end and the best thing is to get out of the way by taking your hard earned money and retreating. Leave it in the dust and forget about the company. Its on the road to oblivion. Its had its decade in the bright sun.
They say there are no guaranties in financial markets but I can tell you this that the odds are near 99.99% that Costco stock will go down to 61.8% and the 200-month ema - shown as the yellow ellipse in chart ........... approx. $240/share. Not in a straight line but over time like all markets do. But that is where it is headed, a constant downtrend of losing money.
Does your friend want to just sit back and take this kind of hit with wishful thinking?

Put costco on arithmetic scale to get a nice icture of target price over thenext few years during the Bear market.

Hey guys, remember Enron? You are a lot older and wiser than I am and maybe lived thru' it. I had to read and study it and the balance sheets and what not for the company to find the clues.

Balance sheets and Income statements can be fudged and buggered and coaxed and whatnot. and fool you
But what nobody has found a way to do yet is to f**k up the
open, high. low, close, volume for the day. the data is cast in stone. it is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The reason nobody will bugger this type of data up is because they are sure all technicians are full of sh*t so why bother they are all losers anyway.
So the DATA survives.
that is all I need to work my magic. Just he open, high, low, close and volume. I can derive everyhting from just that.
