I am not from the US so pardon me if my ideas couldn't be applied there.

1. Capitalism is better than socialism.
2. It constitutes free market, lesser regulations, better competition, equal opportunity.
3. Smaller government has lesser regulations, lesser business barriers, investment friendly, business friendly due to lower taxes.
4. Better economical growth.
5. Socialism demotivates hardworking/innovative/smart people or forces them to leave the country for better markets.

That's why Norwegians are leaving in droves for Somalia, right? Because by your simplistic metrics Somalia is a business paradise and Norway a hell. But in fact emmigration from socialist first world countries is virtually zero and economic emmigration an even lower percentage of that. So your item 5 in reality is the opposite of what you postulate, which if you're at all versed in the scientific method would cause you to reexamine your hypothesis. Turns out the world is more complex then "more government bad, less government good"

I am just saying the bigger picture of it, so, of course they are more complex than that.
China has moved towards capitalism from socialism for example and now they are going to overtake everyone else in terms of economy and trade.

Sweeden is one of the most socialist country in the world and they are now heavily indebted, despite not having to spend on their military (relying on USA).

Companies are moving away from the US to other lower tax countries. What Trump has done (reducing the taxes) is probably a good thing to bring back those companies, I am not sure.

Sweden is heavily indebted? Its sovereign rating has never been anything other than AAA. Its debt/GDP is one of the lowest in the EU and, more broadly, in the developed world.

Carrer may not be an American but he/she sure seem to get their "news" from Fox, Breitbart et. al! Sweden also isn't part of NATO, so while not really relevant to what we're discussing, it does indicate Carrer might want to seek new sources of information about the world other than the clearly incorrect one's they're using. And as I said, most of us change our hypothesis when we find out the information we were basing them on is false, how about you Carrer?

Then I think I probably watched and read the wrong information. I will have to do more research then.
