Coronavirus DEBATE: Why are Americans dumb as fck?

Why? Simple, the boogeyman never showed up. We've been hearing the prophets of doom telling us we're all gonna die, and it hasn't materialized, not even close. NYC for a couple two three weeks had a count going worth a second look, and it faded fast. No grand calamity. Hospitals handled it fine, no shortage of anything except perspective, all the extra beds never used, just a hyped up scare. And that was NYC. The entire rest of the country pretty much zilch.
Weeks later we discover half the dead were in Nursing Homes which could have been avoided. The rest have been mostly old and frail, or have a list of preexisting conditions. Add it all up and it's not even on par with a bad flu season. That's why most of the nation sees this for the bullshit campaign strategy that it is. No covid boogeyman equals try something else. Enter mob violence.

I hope you're right and we don't get another 110,000 deaths. Hope a vaccine or a cure comes out soon.

But I'm not going to risk my only life on it. I suspect deaths are hugely underreported and do not trust politicians. As someone with underlying health issues at age 56, I'm very concerned... not just for me, but for all of us. Stay safe!

Dumbness absorbed from the experience. Cold blooded policy of putting nursing homes at risk. No money to pay the high risk people a monthly income to shelter. Sense of being manipulated for some ulterior purpose. Deaths from coexisting conditions, but they could have lived another ten years without the virus. Vaccine in time for Christmas shopping.

I hope so too, but the numbers are way overdone. Should people take the prudent precautions? Yes. Anyone feeling uncomfortable going out by all means stay home. Feeling ill, get checked out for sure. Totally agree that following protocols where necessary, but we must let this run it's course and manage whatever hot spots pop up without a knee jerk reaction to shutdown the entire country.

When you look at the stats and talk to doctors actually treating patients you see that this virus preys upon the old and those with compromised immune systems.

Many of you morons were talking about very high death rates. Like 4%.
You all had the shit scared out of you by he "experts" lying to you.

The CDC now predicts the death rate of those with symptoms will be .4 percent and not every one gets symptoms.

And if you look at the data median age is in the 70s and will probably rise as well. Over 90 percent have co morbidities.

So if you or a family member are in the high risk group. This is real and you should take precautions.

If you are younger and healthy... in some areas... this is the flu.
(and the stats say so.) Yeah you can get the flu and some will die from it... but it is not a cause for locking down the healthy.

Sweden did not lock down... like us.
There curve looks the same as many of the other first world countries who lost a lot of older people early to this virus.



There is no data saying we should have lockdown the low risk.

One thing I never see mentioned or hardly talked about is how does a mask keep a virus from entering from the eyes? They don't. So a mask is not going to prevent someone from sneezing or coughing into your eyes!

AND if you get a bug on your precious mask you will carry it home and spread that bug to your family.
