Not to be morbid, but it may be worth looking into funeral home and related stocks like SCI... it's gone up alot lately, look at ytd or 1yr chart.

With projected huge numbers of deaths if virus continues to spread, deathcare stocks may skyrocket .

Do the math, 150million x whatever infection rate is, is shocking.
I am totally unfamiliar with this sector, any other tickers worth looking into?

It's a damn shame. I like people older than me, they're wise.

Unfortunately some are stubborn and won't take this seriously Now. A top epidemiologist on tv said millions will die.

I think it's important to remind/insist people esp 60+ to stay 100% housebound for the next 8 weeks. No church, no card games, no walking the block or shopping.

Any ideas on how to persuade older folks to stay safely at home?

Leave everyone else alone, let the virus burn itself out, but get the at risk group to self isolate, more like 6months to a year before everyone outside has had it and recovered.

They can go for walks in the country side, just not sit on a bench or get without 2metres of anyone safely, so talking 2metres away without a wind blowing towards them is fine.

Maybe some string, belt to wrists, stop you putting your hands to your face while outside.

My original estimate was 1 Billion people allowing for health service collapse world wide at the worst of this thing. Lock Downs IF used for long enough could slow the spread so reducing to 100Million deaths, but there is an IF there.

Not wise enough to vote for sensible national Healthcare in the time since they were 18. The elderly are truly the most selfish among us.

Perhaps boomer-b-gon will be the catalyst for real Healthcare reform. One can dream.
