Coronavirus (covid-19) is bad

I'm in Vancouver, Canada and today:

  • The local ski hills closed down.
  • Public libraries and pools closed down.
  • Shopping malls reduced their hours.
  • Some Starbucks have closed while others have removed chairs.
  • Costco had cart line ups that snaked all around inside - they even had employees directing the traffic of carts.
  • A few more deaths in Vancouver
  • Canada closes border to all except Canadians and Americans - but asks Americans to stay away.
  • Non-essential dental services paused.

Cloward-Piven at work.

Being Mildly, to Moderately ill is going to suck, but being house bound for months is what really worries me, BORED out of my brain!!

Now's your chance to try out trading forex while the futures market margins are insane.

On a higher note, gas is near 2 dollars a gallon where I live, and now I'm finding out that plane and cruise tickets are going insanely cheap. This is definitely a time to start taking advantage of the markets. Because when they find a cure, one could only guess how the markets are going to respond.

Seems to have a worldwide mortality rate of 3.9% which is pretty significant.

This of course will go lower as new treatment is developed.

Cruises are dead, restaurants, movie theaters, casinos are soon to follow.

People have started to lose their jobs, only crowded places are hospitals.

This helps no one, shorts excluded.

It´s really the banking system that´s bad. Without fractional reserve banking Corona would not be nearly as dangerous. We built our societies on a banking pyramid scheme.

Well here dental clinics have closed entirely apparently, received a sms this morning while having an appointment for some gum surgery later this week.
As of public hospitals, non essential medical appointments and surgeries have also been postponed, it is not the right time to fall ill.
Talked last week to a cousin who just moved to a small place in Quebec, he told me that so far the virus was a distant issue, but it looks like tougher times are also reaching your shores.
Fwiw on sunday March 8th they authorised demonstrations for Woman´s day despite the epidemy already hitting Spain hard, with 120k people screaming and spitting on each other downtown Madrid and many more across the country, than the next day the government decided the covid was out of control, schools were to be closed on wednesday and kids advised to stay home from that wednesday. This followed by daily extra restriccions.
The minister of equality who pushed hard to allow the mass demonstration tested positive last week btw, hard to trust those fuckers to take good decisisions
