What is the end game for the coronavirus? If it is so easily transmitted, why would we not expect everyone virtually to get it eventually?


Along the same lines, what stopped Sars bird and Ebola from continuing to work its way through the worlds population?

Autopsies show severe damage to COVID-19 patients' lungs and immune system, according to a doctor in Wuhan reached by the Global Times, who called for measures to prevent fibrosis of the lungs at an early stage of the disease.

"The influence of COVID-19 on the human body is like a combination of SARS and AIDS as it damages both the lungs and immune systems," Peng Zhiyong, director of the intensive care unit of the Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan, told the Global Times on Friday.

Peng said he had just talked to Liu Liang, a forensic specialist from the Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Liu's team has reportedly conducted nine autopsies on deceased COVID-19 patients as of February 24.

This is medical speak that the layman will not understand. It means you will have a higher white-blood-cell count, and you will develop a cough.

Fucking Asians and all this sensationalism. I hope Godzilla comes and smacks them down with some new beats, from the Sea of Japan to Wuhan's clans!

There are a number of parameters, incubation time being important but many others. If a virus is too 'hot' it causes a rather sensible panic reaction and people take decisive action.

People stopped Sars and Ebola spreading.
 
Corona Virus or the common flu which kills more people has been found to prefer cold environments. There is a suggestion that warmer weather thru being exposed to the sun can kill a lot of viruses. Drinking hot liquids like hot coffee, hot tea, hot soup, etc. should help. When you have the flu, don't you eat hot chicken noodle soup? Common sense of washing your hands when out in public and having some hand sanitizer in your pocket can help too. Do not touch your dirty hands on your mouth, eyes, ears, nose instead, wash your hands thoroughly, before touching your face.

With ebola, it's a bit simpler than that. Virus such as ebola have such high mortality that they're "self contained". It kills the host faster than he/she has a chance to spread it to others. It's not airborne either.
