Cornix's TA Performance

I like long Nasdaq here for a bounce in the overnight session should trade to at least 2950. Cornix do your thing, its kinda funny surf is stalking you on your JOURNAL, lol!:)

Yes, when you are convinced 100%, going all in is how to play it. But, by the same token, you need to be prepared for the consequences of a black swan--- a positive one in my case, but that's so unlikely I dismissed the possibility.

Definitely a good call of the possible top (and at least short-term top already), but Surf... 100%? I wouldn't say it's 100% to be alive next morning even, let alone what market does. :D

Well... I'm fine with Surf presence as long as we constructively discuss trading to the benefit of readers. Of course blatant negative trolling is not welcome, but I hope moderators are as rigorous in this thread as they usually are in Surf's thread. :)

I hope so too.

Good to see you started a thread Cornix.

Any new trades lately?

Thank you 4PL!

Just those two posted here http://elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3817843 so far. I purposely cut the number of signals before starting this current NQ venture in early April trying to achieve equity curve shape which is more suitable for a particular long-term goal and constitutes as Vic Sperandeo pointed it out:

capital preservation as priority #1 and consistent profitability as priority #2.

So playing very safe, no aggression basically and very mechanical even in cases when I see or "feel" better potential which is consciously sacrificed in exchange for mechanical rule following. It's different from how I used to trade in the past (those who know me long enough probably remember crazy bat swinging in FX back in 2008/9 ahh... glory days :D ), but a very interesting new challenge of self-automation.

Cornix, You may have already answered this question, but why do you only trade the morning session on nq?

For two reasons:

1) It's actually evening for me (US stock market opens 20:30 my time). To keep normal biological rhythm I limited my trading session to that time. Also watch London first hours in other instruments (6E, DAX) whenever have time for that.

2) Morning moves are usually the best, lunch is slower and afternoon is less reliable overall, while the main moves tend to happen in the first hours.
