Cornix's TA Performance

Quote from jack hershey:

I posted time stamped blotters (prints was my term);

For I think 2 carefully selected days, and with non-matching numbers. All you proved is that you have some winning trades. If Cornix does the same here, he won't establish anything.
It is really not that hard to post a daily sum from the broker's statement, do it for 2 weeks or more, now we are talking. Obviously the longer the better. 1-2 days is nothing....

Quote from marketsurfer:

If you don't know your entry before hand, its NOT TA. surf

This is so wrong. Before you argue against TA, you should have a clue what it may or may not be. At this point, you obviously don't.

Nope. Want to just post summary for periods as long as it will make me interested in doing so. :)

This is how you prove something...

Nobody can doubt that I did those trades (on a simulator)... Like I said you can leave out account info. ... It's easy to do.

:D I don't mind any of the puffing or shit talking... But I do want a reasonable proof.

Seems odd how two ocean/surfer themed usernames are now joining together to argue Cornix. Is there a howlie club?

Quote from R. Raskolnikov:

I don't get it. Surf demands Cornix leave his journal and start his own and now he does and Surf comes here to harass him.

You noticed that too huh.

Quote from marketsurfer:

Huh? This is support, not harrasment. I was tired of him making ridiculous claims, on my journal, that 20% annual returns were not even worth trying for, sick of him scoffing at 20% annual returns when most traders would be thrilled to earn 20% on the capital deployed.

If he wants to say these things elsewhere, I have no issue with it, and I applaud the attempt to "prove" TA. Just wanted to make sure its played fair as, as you know, everyone who has tried over the last decade has FAILED including the latest attempt on twitter just several weeks/months ago.

A real trader does scoff @ 20% pa

Quote from cornix:

After multiple arguments on the matter I decided to bring a bit of objectivity to the field of continuous holy war and demonstrate some of the actual performance achieved with use of a couple simple TA signals. Will I prove TA has some value or the opposite, time will show. :)

Brief description of the approach: pure technical analysis, all actions are triggered by certain chart patterns with microscopic fundamental component (I am unable to isolate myself from the news and hence accept the possibility of subconscious directional bias depending on fundamentals). Market traded is currently NQ, later probably add 6E and ES as well. Day trading only during the first 2-3 hours of US regular stock trading session. Tight risk management, all trades are entered with a hard stop-loss.

Due to the short-term nature of the approach calls in advance are not possible so will post Sierra Chart blotters at the end of each session, set to show P&L in points per contract (the most objective measure of performance IMO when one knows how much is risk in points per trade).

That's it. If I forgot something will post additional notes later.

LOL! You mean gambler? 20% consistent annual gains on the capital deployed, would make you ranked among the top traders of all time, particularly when it's done without corresponding risk as op states Funny, they all seem to gather here.
