Cornel West, Progressive Scholar, Announces Third-Party Bid for President

Obama dropped public option because of Lieberman, I educated you already about that.

If Obama couldn't pass public option with 58 senators, you want Biden to pass the same with 49 of them?

The example most often cited of a single member blocking the priorities of all other Democrats is former Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, who refused to vote for passage of the Affordable Care Act if it included a public option to compete with private insurance companies (some of which were headquartered in his home state). But even that isn’t really comparable, since White House and congressional aides at the time note that several other Democratic senators also objected; one count shortly before the public option was removed showed as few as 52 votes for it, one former aide told me.
Obama dropping the public option was acceptable as he allowed everyone up to 138% of the poverty level to get medicaid.

Let us know when Biden gets more people healthcare than Obama.

I never said everyone. This level of disingenuous bullshit I only heard from MAGA snakes and The Biden snakes.

You know what, you are just a troll like LacesOut and NYhood so on ignore you go. You know nothing about policy or history of legislation. You even claim LBJ got re-elected and pander it as a history lesson.

Enjoy your lies and bullshit. Don't forget to sell out Ukraine.

Seems you know nothing about how ACA passed, out of 58, Obama got only 52 and one of the Senators objecting was Manchin

Cornel West resigns from Harvard after tenure dispute and accuses university of ‘spiritual rot’

Funny how the rot started when he couldn't get tenure.

He has no problems getting jobs at Ivy League institutions.

What if we actually had a valid 3rd party candidate instead of fringe unqualified people gathering attention running for the 3rd party..... It doesnt make sense to give West any vaidity when he is running so far left on ideas that are not popular or possible in this political climate.

There is a reason the Green party or far right ideas got some initial traction but then disappear or gert pushed aside in national elections......they are not as popular as the people pushing them think when it comes to actual action. Sure they will say YEAH to things in polls but their votes speak much louder.

Maybe stop jumping to presidential elections like naive rookies and get candidates in local elections where policies directly affect people...

Otherwise the Wests and Bernie Sanders and Ross Perots and Jill Greens simply become places for unhappy voters to dump their wasted votes rather than actually make an impact.

Free education, universal healthcare, etc.... they all sound good but these guys never have an answer how to pay for it that is realistic or possible in a general election so it is like listening to a HS senior run for class president and promise more snack machines in the lunchroom and s horter classes.
