Cornel West, Progressive Scholar, Announces Third-Party Bid for President

Fredo is right, Dems keep pointing the finger at trump (but he won) and then at 3rd parties to blame for Hillary fucktarded campaign and threats to Joe Biden. If your shit is airtight then you fear no challenges. Dems best message to green party is vote for Biden or you get trump....nothing to do with any policies they care about....

Dems shit the bed so bad yet they keep coming back and taking more dumps on it. GOP is loving the addition of West even though their own house of trump/desantis is quite messy. But while trump/desantis fray does not turn voters away from GOP, the dem shit show will...

Shit the bed so bad they turned this life long democrat voter Green

I think what made DeSantis really popular in Florida (keeping it open during Covid) will not resonate come 2024. America has a short attention span and is over Covid. I actually think he handled Covid relatively well (other than his refusal to admit he got the vaccines) and I'm no fan of his overall. Keeping the economy/schools open while protecting seniors and not trying to enforce a mask mandate everywhere was the correct approach in my opinion. His culture war stuff (particularly banning abortion after 6 weeks) is much less popular. DeSantis also benefited from running against Charlie Crist, who's basically a joke at this point. Everybody knew he was going to lose again so lots of people didn't bother voting and that allowed DeSantis to run up the score. FL has gotten redder, but I don't think it's a +10, let alone +20 GOP state in the General. It was +1 in 2016 and +3 in 2020 so +5 to +8 seems like a reasonable range for 2024.

Desantis stopped running on what he did during COVID a long time ago....also that was a long time ago.... he spent the past 2 years going full trumptard with no consequences since he already won the election.

Now he is seeing the effects of going after Disney, challenging private businesses, focusing so much on trans issues when there are major insurance issues in the state, and trying to out trump trump whose dick he sucked royally to get elected.

Florida could have been on autopilot the past 2 years and Ronnie could have gained traction.....but he decided that taking on fake woke agendas was hte best way to get the far right base behind him and what fucktard convinced him that a far right group of voters would get him the presidency? probably 2016 is in his head..

Trump might actually be the only Republican who can win the presidency. I say that, because if he loses the nomination there’s a high probability he goes rogue on the party. He has a base that DeSantis or whoever else would be the nominee has to win over in the General and if Trump feels betrayed he might sabotage the whole thing (even if he needs a Republican POTUS to pardon him). Clearly Kemp was still able to win GA without Trump’s support, but there will be a different level of anger on whoever knocks out their man. That said, unless Trump is literally locked up (or croaks), I have a hard time seeing him lose the nomination at this point.

At the end of the day black people are 12% of the population and their particular issues aren't often on the priority list of the other 88%. Things like inflation, healthcare, climate change, gun control, and education are way higher in importance to the masses.
Since the progressive white radical abolitionists during slavery and the millions of whites that supported civil rights protests during the civil rights movement there has always been progressive whites that has abhorred racism and supported minority issues.I went to BLM protests in 2020 and there were more whites than blacks at every one. When Dems betray blacks they don't just piss off blacks, they also piss off many progressive whites, both of whom are critical to Dems winning the presidency.

Of course there has always been whites on the left that dont care about racism and only care about their issues as well, but they aren't enough for Dems to win The White House.
