Corn Crash!

What I find funny is this. Most Americans can tell you the price of a gallon of gas. It's on the news now EVERY day!
A few can even tell you the price of a barrel of oil within a few dollars. Most will know that the price of oil has doubled in the past year though.
But ask any average American what the price of a bushel of corn is and how much it has gone up in the same time that oil has doubled.
Point is, everyone is so distracted by the price of oil and gas that I don't think they have any idea how much they are affected by the price of corn.
Ignorance is bliss.

You are right but if corn starts to get to that height it will be on every news report in the world just as oil is now. The media will have a field day with it.

"Crashes" is not the word I would use to describe a possible correction, especially after seeing today's USDA crop progress report.

Every crash starts with a correction though. I just like the sound of the word. Totally off topic but have you noticed that on words to describe selling are so aggressive compared to buying? HIT, SMACK, BANG those bids, where as you merely LIFT the offer ever so gently.

That's because bear rallies are usually short and brutal, especially to correct the uptrend.
