Corker Latest Republican To Receive Trump Beatdown

Two years in and they still don't seem to realize the number one rule of today's republican politics. You tangle with Trump, you lose. You lose even if you win. No one has yet walked away from a faceoff with Trump without suffering. Their attacks bounced off him like BB's off a boxcar. His inflicted lifelong scars.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-TN, is the latest to learn this painful but nonetheless obvious lesson. He decided it would be a good idea to tell a NYT reporters how much he and his buddies in the Senate resented Trump and tried to block his initiatives. Trump fireback calling the veteran senator "Liddle Bob" and mocking him for being suckered by liberal reporters.

Now Bannon has joined the fray, demanding that Corker resign immediately so a conservative female representative could be appointed to the seat. http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...p-establishment-wants-to-nullify-16-election/

Shortly before the Big Luther debacle, Corker had announced he would not stand for reelection. Trump derided him as gutless and said he knew he would lose. This might be one of those rare occasions when everything everyone said was actually true, if inconvenient. It turns out that yes, words can be hurtful.

Only thing is, Trump has been called worse repeatedly and his supporters laugh it off. Now Corker is vilified and at the same time, made to look like a poor sport if he doesn't resign his seat.
 
Agree. Republicans that decide not to join the Trump train are asking for trouble. Bannon declaring war on non-Trump Republicans also shows how inconsequential Dems will be in 2018.

Lies & simpering deference or forgiveness of bad behavior are a characteristic of "omega" males in primates. Why would humans be that different? It was thus with royalty, chieftains for a couple of million years.

They are just made for it.
 
The people voting in Judge Moore forced Trump's hand.
If Trump does not do what he was voted in to do...
he will be fired.

Bannon at least for now is the guy who read the people and he gets to shape the future.
Trump may not have seen it before but he sees it now.

The peoples will, will be done or there will be very few establishment republicans left.
Trump can fight the people or he can get back on the road with us.

You all on the left think that denigrating trump matters.
That is the same mistake the establishment republicans made.

This is up to Trump... do what we sent you him to do... he gets reelected.
We don't really like Trump. He was the finger to the establishment and sent to do a job. If he does the job... then we will have the legacy he wishes.
