I can vouch for zulutrade and etoro. Both the platforms are popular & have some really experienced traders so, I can easily pick a suitable trader for myself.
But I'd suggest to test the platforms on a demo account first to ensure whether or not it offers everything you are looking for.

How do spreads work in copy trading? Will those be the same as that of the trader I’m copying trades from or will there be a difference in spreads?

I think you can create an account on the platform and then link it to your broker account if the platform supports your broker. Also, you can contact their support team if you have any broker-related questions.
