Cops Gone Wild

Quote from Lucrum:

Obviously I wasn't there. So we only have the LEO's word on whether they actually told him to put down the rifle.

My main problems with this:

* Unless maybe the kid was 5'11" and 180 lbs, a 13 year old kid looks like a 13 year old kid. Why would armed cops probably wearing vests need to be in such a hurry to shoot a 13 year old kid, regardless of what they thought he was carrying?

* Simply carrying a rifle, even a real AK47 that's illegal in that locale, is not in and of itself a deadly threat. A threat justifying the use of deadly force. Unless the kid actually pointed the pellet rifle at them as if intending to shoot. They had no cause to open fire. If LEO's aren't willing to accept at least some risk of harm to protect the public. In this case a 13 yo kid. They're in the wrong profession.

Can you imagine if someone like me with a CCW permit had shot this kid instead?
The media would be screaming for my crucifixion and a ban on CCW permits to boot. What ya wanna bet these cops get a free pass? Like they almost always do.

I think the biggest factor in this tragedy (that was only mentioned in passing) was that a 12 year old kid shot and killed his teacher THE DAY BEFORE in the same town.
I can see how the cops would be a little quicker on the trigger with a kid carrying an assault rifle the very next day after that murder.
I think it comes down to this- did the cops "repeatedly" tell the boy to put down the weapon, or did they jump out of their vehicles and start shooting? I hope the truth comes out.

fucking cowards, the stepdad was a man, these two cops are morons.

Police stun stepdad trying to save son from fire

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The family of a 3-year-old killed in a northern Missouri house fire says it is outraged after police used a stun gun on the boy's stepfather as he tried to run back in and save the child.

Riley Miller died early Oct. 31 in the Mississippi River town of Louisiana. A city police officer fired his stun gun at Ryan Miller as he tried to re-enter his burning home, which was destroyed.

Grandmother Lori Miller says she witnessed two officers use the stun gun three times, twice after Ryan Miller had been handcuffed.

Miller suffered chest burns and was later released from the city jail without being charged.

The family says it is considering legal action against the city.

City Administrator Bob Jenne called the police response a "judgment call."

You know what this is? Punk ass egotistical police officers pissed off that the dad didn't follow their orders. And now a little boy is dead, possibly unnecessarily.

A cop in Arkansas allegedly tasered a woman after she refused to show him her breasts.

Ashlea Bennett alleges that uniformed Officer Brandon Carter strutted into her place of work on Dec. 13, 2011, and ordered that she give him a sneak peak of her bosom.

When she declined, he reportedly then chased her around the building before zapping her repeatedly with his electroshock gun.
Bennett, who says it was not the first time Carter had asked her the lewd question, is now suing him and the city of Haskell in federal court.

She seeks compensation and punitive damages on charges that include civil rights violations, assault, failure to train and supervise, and negligent supervision.

Bennett also claims Haskell's police department ignored her previous complaints about the officer, reports Court House News.

WOW!!!!!!!! What a stupid son of a bitch! He's gotta be an Onazi "hope and change" voter wanting an outrageously illegal blow job, THEN telling her she's still gotta pay the ticket!?!?! WOW!
I wouldn't pin a badge on again now if someone told me I'd make $500,000/yr. Why? I'd fight more with the retards I work with than the true scumbags, meaning, I'd hate life... Gotta love what America has come to with it's COMPLETE and total lack of values, courtesy, and plain ol' street smarts.:(

"The officers REPEATEDLY told him to drop the weapon"

Case closed Luke. Can't wait for someone with an assault rifle to start shooting at you. If people would just follow instructions, these situations would never happen.

I've traveled all day, and am tired. We'll get into this tomorrow. None the less, my Son is an avid airsoft guy who does his thing in an arena made for that. I don't like the fact that it has to be in an arena, as myself and my Friends used to shoot at each other with bb guns in the woods, and basically all over rural areas. We also used to carry .22LR rifles through the neighborhood on our way to hunt squirrels. Cops never bothered us, as it was normal then to see boys carrying guns through the neighborhood on their way to the woods to hunt squirrels, or bb guns on their way to play war games. A Trooper w/ the State Police used to stop his cruiser, and marvel at the squirrels we took then, and that was it. I'm SO sad times have become what they've become...:(

The truth NEVER comes out in these situations sadly... It's all about cya.
