I saw the video on our local news, and yes, the guy has no business carrying a badge and gun. Sure, he cried like hell, but the facts are, the aging Vietnam Veteran was holding the cane "barrel" pointed down. He was moving slow, and wasn't a threat. The deputy would be justified in clearing gun leather, but NOT squeezing off rounds in this case. Very sad to see!

While Democrat efforts to enact stricter gun control continue to routinely fail on a national level, the hysteria surrounding firearms continues as the left appears to maintain the obsolete notion that firearms equals a threat of violence.
A Maine resident learned the hard way that too much of society has become wholly intolerant of even the mere presence of a firearm as he was recently awoken by heavily-armed police who were on high-alert over his life-size firearm tattoo.

If the cops had reasonable suspicion that a guy walked outside to raise hell with tree removers with a "gun" tucked in his waistband, all they had to do was show up and knock on the door to see what his problem was. But show up in swat gear, and pull this kind of shit? Unreal! When I did the job I would have pulled in the driveway, and knocked on the door, while standing away from the front of it. I've done that a hundred times over the exact same kind of call where someone actually did have a gun. These new breeds of cops today are so different than me and the "old guys" like me, it's like comparing mars to saturn.

She needs to file a civil rights complaint with her local FBI office. For some reason when we have today's cops in a large group, shit goes wrong just as it does when we have a large group of "inner city" pilgrims gathering at nightclub settings. I'm of the opinion the gestapo mentality comes in part from the type of officer being recruited and the rest coming from their paramilitary training.
