Controversial right-wing group Project Veritas suspends all operations indefinitely

Seek help. It may be too late but in 10 years you will make the biggest loons here look amateur.

I've had help. Starting from a young age. The most effective was my godfather. His patience with me was endless. He was a systems analyst for the telcos before going to NASA.

Most of your whining now is because my thread on Project 2025 really chaffs you. Don't worry, at least I'll present multiple angles. By the way, I share some of your concerns, maybe not to the same degree, but the concern are there.

While I don't know anything about Project Veritas, the FBI regularly targeted Leftist groups when my mom was an activist. The FBI often was able to take over leadership of a group, which was what happened to a anti-food irradiation group she was aware of. After the takeover, the group no longer did anything noteworthy.

The FBI sent two suits, twice, to our apartment in NYC when I was a child. Her phone was bugged after she called the mayor of New York to complain about something. Film footage of a Pentagon march was stolen, which she blamed on the FBI. My single mother was on welfare, although she did some freelance work, yet still was a target of the FBI. She did some film making in Cuba, which violated laws in both Cuba and the US, however. No criminal charges for her "civil disobedience" where ever filed. She may have been arrested for hitchhiking in the South, however.

The lessons are, if you are going to participate in a organization that steps on establishment interests, there will be a price to pay. There will be surveillance, an effort to discredit the founder or the organization itself, and if the organization has weak command and control, risks getting taken over. If any member does anything illegal, that will be leveraged to damage the reputation of the organization. It did seem the FBI tended to adhere to a ruleset that usually at worst went into grey areas. I imagine the gloves could potentially come off for very dangerous organizations.

When reading about an organization that got discredited, remember not all reported is necessarily as it seems. You used the word "Scam". I have one for you, AOL. A little homework and some critical thinking will open your eyes how far our law enforcement agencies will go, including utilizing the media, to perpetuate one of their "Operations".

Ok. But there are cons too. Just saying.

The funny thing is I grew in NYC too and can remember when the city wasn’t so nice. There were all kinds of hustlers and boosters in the 1980s all over the city.

I remember being in the subway with my uncle and asking if I could try 3 card Monty. He explained to me it wasn’t really a game, it was a con because the dealer was switching the queens in and out of the shuffle.

It’s the same thing with O’Keefe. The Queen isn’t in the shuffle, it was a con. Get it?

No it does not, have you ever seen me bother with a thread I've made for any length? I've not even looked at yours as you will only do what you always do.

Mollycoddling might keep you stable but it's descent into madness or straighten out which is probably fairly possible.

Don't get it, but not really trying. Did sort of get kidnapped once in grade school. A classmate took me to her place and an adult had me sit beneath a kitchen table. Kind of funny story, actually, but I was able to talk my way out of it. The little girl was back in class the next day, surprisingly, but never after that.

Too bad.

You have a long history of challenging those who are actively supporting the Conservative side. You often challenge them in a similar way as you are currently doing with me. There are several examples of you going ballistic after a poster gets particularly critical of the Progressives.

Can you at least try to be honest with yourself? Please?

There may be a few extra mental health cards around...

The conservative side have a common characteristic, they are prone to balance fallacies. If the right is bad then the other side must be as bad and when they appear normal, it's just because they are extra super sneaky. But that's usually wrong.

I'm an outsider to a large degree, my politics and mindset are not Amedican. I just understand US culture, a better version of it through family, not that it's very complicated. Often it is like listening to these guys, just substitute baboons for Wholefoods or Chic fil a.

You are not well right now and it shows. I'm not trained for psychiatric stuff but when I see somebody spiraling I suggest to them that they might want to stop.
