Contrarian Trader Tops And Bottom

I just focus on the tops and bottoms if the trade meets my criteria i enter it and exit when it meets my exit criteria

trend followers make the bulk of their money in one type of trend environment a fast or slow moving small correction trend

Trend followers capture 33% of Trend. Why is that good? Because industry stats prove time and again traders capture minus 70% of Trend. The latter wins hands down :)

but if they don't catch a trend or there is no trend no money for them and their returns are not that much better than other strategies these days with the same downside

but im glad their are more trendfollowers easier money for me to trade the turning points

There’s always a Trend somewhere at any given time. Like now - mount up, go S the Euro daily frame and use this thread subject to see TP’s on 1H like possibly RIGHT NOW

here goes: GOLD: 1324 S stop 1372 TP guidance to 1050. will get in and out on 1H
core position will not be touched until natural death of this new downtrend

Goldbugs bullish as usual, GOLD going up for 1 year 4 months, very bullish, right?

Now manage it by getting on the horse and riding it, aka Trend Following

Daily uptrend line creaking now

STAY SHORT no reason to cash in on 1H. Downsloping 1H TL passed thru 1310. Rallies might go there.

I see 5 waves down on 1H but the last subwave could be extending as its steeper so I Wait. No action necessary

Which is why I enjoy watching everyone load to one side of the lopsided boat while I play Contrarian.. which is one of my strongest trading traits.. Most claim to be able to able to Play Contrarian but when push come to shove, most can`t handle it & go against the grain & opinions of others.

It`s one thing to recognize a "Contrarian Opportunity" ... then quite another to act on it, if you dare.... then a whole other level of intestinal fortitude to put on serious size.... Then.. & only then, if one has the Courage to get that far... Then we enter the highly coveted Brass Balls Territory of staying with the Size during Rips, Squeezes, Noise, Opinions etc.... Whole different elevated level of intensity!

i too have discovered the wonders of fading a move and any breakout-All BREAKOUTS FAIL LIKE ALL TRENDS
and of course there are so many trends so many many reversals.....markets are like Alice in wonderland.
just pick a friend you want to spend some time with,or a friend you want to leave,but then you spend some time with another friend.
markets enable you 'to be what you want to be' that is why markets are so addictive and lovable
So if you follow some one else's call you are not being what you want to be....or more correctly, you have not decided who or what you want to be.
Nasir has decided who he wants to be
