GOP Congressman Calls Executive Action On Immigration An 'Impeachable Offense'


Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) on Friday invoked a high-profile conservative commentator to argue that President Barack Obama's planned executive action on immigration would constitute an "impeachable offense."

“Well, Charles Krauthammer was asked that same question, I think, just recently on one of the news programs and I have to agree with him of course it would be,” Salmon said in a Newsmax video flagged by BuzzFeed.

Krauthammer, a pundit who appears regularly on Fox News, on Wednesday night was the first to declare Obama's anticipated action as worthy of impeachment.

Remember all the breathless media about how the republicans had irreparably damaged themselves with the shutdown? A few months later they win an historic landslide.

Ordinary voters were outraged that obama blocked elderly veterans from entering an open park, the WW II Memorial. A few months later they win an historic landslide.

The sequester was supposed to inflict horrible suffering on us. No one even noticed, except defense contractors perhaps. Republican backstabbers, led by Paul Ryan, quickly acted to bail out Obama from that mistake. Against all odds, the republican congress had cut spending and they couldn't wait to surrender their one victory.

Now we are being fed the same bs again. We mustn't use the one tool at our disposal, the budget, to rein in Emperor Obama's unconstitutional misconduct. We have to be bipartisan and rubberstamp whatever leftwing crooks he sends up as nominees. Boehner and his crowd are convinced they are geniuses because they ran on nothing and won. In reality, they won because voters turned to them as the last resort to stop obama and his insanity.

Virtually every republican ran on repealing obamacare and stopping obama's immigration policy. People who voted for them are not going to be impressed by being told that the Chamber of Commerce actually really wanted amnesty, so say olla to your new neighbors.

That would be the same media who promised that republicans had suffered a fatal self-inflicted wound because obama chose to shut down the government.

I don't think like any of them. I'm merely pointing out that when 64% of the voters stay home, the winners can't draw any conclusions regarding their win beyond the fact that 64% of the voters stayed home, much less that there's any sort of mandate. Congressional approval is after all at 8%.

The humanoid Christmas comes once every 4 years, the next one is in 2016. Could well be the reason the pubs aren't dancing in the streets.They cringe at the thought of another 2010 -----> 2012.
