Conservatives invading the Tea Party?

Quote from bugscoe:

Not to divert, but I heard today that Herman Cain is entertaining a presidential run...

I don't know enough about him but have liked what I've heard from him on the radio.

He is a sellout bugscoe. That's how this is going down. Every friend, roommate and ex-girlfriend will be interviewed.

And if he EVER had a white girlfriend....fuggetaboutit.:D :(

Quote from Hello:

I am in the same boat, in terms of rights i believe in all the same. I would add a few though. No more war on drugs, no more policing the world (pull all foreign military establishments), no more aid to other countries (until the deficit is fixed), and the biggest one NO MORE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE RAISES UNTIL DEFICIT IS FIXED. The fact that we are increasing government wages while we are bleeding the way we are is pure insanity, why cant we cut government wages while the private sector is being crushed? Government unions are destroying our country.

I agree, the war on drugs has been an abject failure. Rearden don't come in here and try to use this against me as I will eat you alive.

Our founders CLEARLY stated their opinion on foreign wars.

And course, the people have the right to PEACEABLY assemble for the redress of grievances when it comes to our government, and the people should have a say about the salaries of OUR employees.

Unions had their place and their time. That time has passed.

I am pretty sure Rearden would agree with you on this point 100% though i dont want to speak for him.

Rearden does not understand that I have no problem with the use of drugs. It is the BEHAVIOR that goes along with being out of control.

That is another thread tho.

Back on topic. I am a true Libertarian, the Tea Party is appealing to me. But I don't want ideologues coming along to fuck it up.

Help?

The way i would operate in terms of drug legalisation, is as followed.

No penalty for anyone caught doing/posessing a drug. Much harsher penalties for shitheads caught abusing someone while on a drug. Being on a drug is not an excuse for reckless behaviour. There are plenty of responsible drug users out there, we simply need to weed out the idiots who choose to go AWOL while under the influence of a drug.

What is the most of amusing of all amongst my ethnic groups is, today, if MLK and Malcolm X were both alive today, they would both be conservatives!!

No, not Libertarians, but CONSERVATIVES.

I laugh about this on a daily basis almost.

Quote from Hello:

Quite frankly i was hoping we would purge the conservative movement of all the religious wackos as well...... baby steps i guess....

Yeah, God kills.

Amen and AMEN.

The war on drugs was not started to get the person who does lines on the weekends. It was started to get those people who shoot someone at random for five dollars to get a rock.

And yes, that sentence was deliberately constructed to emphasize why the sentence on crack is so much heavier than the sentence on powder. There is a reason folks.

God doesnt kill, though religion in politics does. We are a nation founded on the premise of "seperation of church and state" therefore religion has no place in politics, or in determining law.

You want to worship your religion, go right ahead, no one is stopping you, but dont let a bunch of evangelicals dictate U.S. law.
