Conservatives hate freedom case #12,435

Jeff Sessions personally asked Congress to let him prosecute medical-marijuana providers

Going after medical marijuana makes it easier to shut down the recreational form. Conservatives will gladly trade your freedom for donations from Big Tobacco and Big Pharma who want to shut down these operations.

Now for the dumb out there, other instances of conservatives hating freedom: gay rights, black voting, immigration, the muslims opening mosques, freedom to form unions (last year VW tried to unionize in TN), etc...

Agreed, no reason why pot shouldn't be legal, just like alcohol.

However, I'd also like to point out that liberals hate freedom as well, because they hate: free speech, the 2nd amendment, capitalism, protecting American jobs, free practice of religious beliefs, etc...

everyone hates free speech when it disagrees with them.
everyone wants limits to the 2nd amendment. Just where the line should be is debated.
everyone wants to protect American jobs (and the American worker). neither side has found a good way to do it.
both sides have a similar view on free practice of religious beliefs: that it's okay to discriminate against or subjugate someone based on your own beliefs. the beliefs are just different.

its like driving on the highway. the guys going slower than you are old farts. the guys going faster than you are reckless.

Great points. I do, however, notice you did not rebut the hyperbole in the OP when he stated that republicans hate freedom.
