Yes unfortunately 5 times in this country's history the people were denied the person they voted to be their President.
 
Yet 60% of the States, actually about 84% of the geographical United States voted for Trump.

For very good reasons our Founding Fathers designed us as a Republic not a Democracy.

And we are waiting for a one acre one vote decision by the Court. Since we now have Gorman seated, all we would need is one more (perhaps Ginsberg will oblige) to get there.
