If Trump is so unpopular, how come democrats keep losing these special elections.
They were reliable gerrymandered GOP districts that democrats lost by 16- 31 points less than a year ago.

What kind of chess game are you playing?

A district that Democrats said they would have to win by 6 points in the recent special election if their strategy involving large money and anti-Trump messaging would be considered successful -- and could be used as a "winning" template in 2018.
The objective truth is that the Democratic strategy failed totally so they reverted to talking points that the margin of defeat is so much less than the previous election and therefore "we" are successful -- which any reasonable person recognizes as pure bullshiat.
The bottom line is that the Democrats need to find a consistent nationwide message that addresses concerns about immigration, jobs, crime, etc. rather than identity politics and anti-Trump moaning.
You obviously are happy with the results, so keep playing "chess".A GOP district that has gone red since 1979 being lost by 40 points 10 years ago,to being lost by 21 points last year to being lost by 4 points this week

If you guys are playing chess, how come you keep losing so bad? Democrats have lost over 1,000 seats under Obama. Democrats have also lost every special election this year. Every single one. If Trump is so unpopular, how come democrats keep losing these special elections.

Democrats won by 3 million more votes last year and the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 presidential elections.More Americans agree with the democrat message than the republican message. The EC ,gerrymandering, low democrat voter turnout etc are bigger problems than the message.
Three cheers!I will agree that gerrymandering is an issue and that all states should have independent commissions that draw election district boundaries every 10 years.
