Regulation and fair play are measures of cooperation for mutual long-term advantage. For you to respond to that post in this manner tells me that you are over the top and on the far side of Right. Understand that I disagree with either extreme. But your argument is an extreme response to a fairly measured remark.

That is the fault of the government, not the corporation. The free market dictates that the contract goes to the lowest bidder. If the corporation wastes its resources, it goes bankrupt. That's at least how it SHOULD work, as long as the government doesn't use my tax dollars to clean up someone elses mess.

Your post sounds more like an argument against government corruption than corporate greed.

$2 per vote for starters. Subsidies for the arts. Many of the government run healthcare initiatives. Not to mention the fact that every new government programs also creates a slew of bureacracy in the name of "this oversight committee" and "the whatchamacall it panel", etc.

Just look at the number of public vs. private sector employees and the trend within.

You couldn't be more wrong. I consider myself fiscally conservative and socially center. My reluctance to pay for the mistakes of others has nothing to do with "extremism".
