He made that statement as a POW,where he was tortured so bad he cant raise his arms above his shoulder.
McCain,his father,grandfather and some of his children volunteered to defend this country in times of war while the draft dodging coward agent orange in The White House wouldn't and he certainly wouldn't let any of his kids do so either.
McCain got shot down after crashing other planes. that is not heroic its unfortunate.
Had his dad not been an Admiral who knows what he would have been.
But... I can tell you this... that tape is not the work of a hero.
And this seems consistent with his songbird tape...

On the contrary, we saved his life, curing him with extremely valuable medicines that at times were not available to our own wounded."
so I am not sure when McCain started selling us out... but it is a pattern.
If he was tortured I feel for him.... but I won't take his word for it. There man has not built up any credit in the credibility bank since I have been observing him. He shows no honor as he sells out his base and his party over and over.

I did not say I believed him... I said it was consistent with McCain sellout nature. I seriously doubt McCain's side of the story is accurate.
