Quote from achilles28:

Congress can't subpoena information it's illegal to access. That's the point.

The law prohibits the GAO from accessing key information about the FED.

But somehow, a Congressional subpoena magically turns the law on it's head, and makes it okay?

Perhaps you can explain that to me.

What the fuck are you talking about "congress can't subpoena" - then can subpoena whatever they want!! The GAO is just a shill for congress - they don't have anywhere close to the same authority.

Also, please state this "law" you speak of that overrides the subpoena power of congress.

ok fine you guys win

Martinghoul and Kass and all the others who believe in legitimacy of FED

you win

I will let time itself be my judge, AND YOURS

Not to worry, time exposes all. None escape.

Quote from Martinghoul:

You're wrong, obviously... In fact, Russia just issued $5.5bn 5y and 10y eurobonds ($-denominated bonds issued by a european sovereign).

that debt is legitimate, I am talking about Dollars currency being printed with automatic debt attached to it.

don't think that I didn't notice the way you are ignoring Dylan Ratigan exposure of FED

You are ignoring the facts, because you are a shill. The worst kind of human being.

dude, that debt cannot be legit and the USD/printing press not be: they are the same type of currency. An argument for one applies to both.

and for the record -

shill > troll > cfa >>>>>>> houseplant >>>>> obama

you response tells me that you are aware that few months ago it came out The FED buys its own bonds masquerading as foreign investors

If you think this is business as usual. You are more dimwitted than I thought

The "audit the fed" amendment is gaining steam. It is reported Bernie Sanders has 33 co-sponsors to the amendment. http://www.businessinsider.com/dont...t-the-fed-amendment-is-gathering-steam-2010-5

Please contact your senator and support this legislation, which is about the "Transparency" that president Obama talked about during the election (Pres. Obama, if you hear me, please support this). Who got all the bailout money? To whom does the FED give money to (over the last decades)? It is time for the people to know. If there's nothing wrong with the FED, great, then just opened up and come clean! I will applaud.

It is hot and humid here. I need a swimming pool. I need a tax credit -- a big one -- to help pay for it. In that way i'll be doing my part to increase consumer spending and prevent deflation. Thanks for everyone's support, and in particular i'll be grateful to the Fed, if they help me get the pool i need.

Save me the smarter-than-thou attitude, bud. I've taken more than enough economics courses in university to debate the topic.

It doesn't show.
