congratulations to Ben Bernanke...

Quote from krazykarl:

agreed - but things are looking better then they were 3 months ago - and nothing has changed.

-housing is still cooling
-rates are stable
-economy is still growing
-some people are still worried about inflation

GDP revised down. FWIW...."who the heck knows" - Just gotta trade em'.

Don

Quote from riskarb:

-GDP by the second quarter of '07. Bernanke should be sweeping floors.

If GDP is neg by 2nd qtr, then how is it Bernanke's fault?
Didn't hike??

Bernanke inherited a M3 problem because of easy money Greenspan, where every dollar bought 4.

He has one of the toughest and most thankless jobs going, and he's likely to be burned by circumstances not of his own making.

I think the real economy and the financial economy are two different things. One is slowing and the other isnt. One leads the other. Where does that leave the markerts?

Isn't it just a wee early to know how hard the landing will be? I mean considering we're still at 11,700 ft. Have another cocktail and keep your seat belt fastened, KrazyKarl.
