Confusing FX terminology by the media

Like what does it mean when the media reports the yen as "weak" and "falling"? I just saw the latest USD/JPY quote and its actually risen to 111. And it gets even confusing when other media outlets report the yen as "strong" and "rising"...

The USDJPY appreciated last few days to its highest levels in 18 months. The USD strengthened but the JPY weakened. Dont forget the quote USDJPY refers to every 1 USD. So USDJPY of 111 means 1 US dollar buys 111 yen. The higher this number, the stronger the USD and the weaker the yen.
 
Seems jpy become currency that has high volume transaction for this month, if we look on weekly timeframe on pair usdjpy this pair has large movement, this pair can giving many advantage if trader can analyze the trend with accurate
 
sometimes they refer to the dollar yen trade in which case a higher number means dollar strength vs yen weakness

other times they refer just simply to the yen (or yen against all the other five major currencies) exchange rate in which case a move up in one pair may be the same as a move down in another pair based on how they are traded by the base rate.

Same thing happens in rates (which are the lifeblood of fx) some news organizations like to quote rates while others like to quote the price.

It is your job as an observer to quickly understand which side they are talking about.

But generally speaking, a foundation of complaining is probably a weak foundation and should not be built upon. Especially when with just a litttle effort you can systematically replace the things you complain about due to lack of understanding with knowledge.
 
USD/JPY pair shows that how much of Japanese yen is needed to get one US dollar. When the value of currency pair (USD/JPY) rises that means JPY has weaken and dollar has strengthen. So, when media reports yen as weak or falling actually the value of pair is rising and vice-versa.
 
Today I am watching video about election president on america and I have seen if Donald Trump as winner, look on the chart I have seen occur large movement on several instrument trading, like as gold also some pair like as eurusd also gbpusd, and like as I guess on yesterday movement still narrow because many speculator also waiting final voted
