confused about e-mini margin requirements

I was calling a few firms yesterday and ran across one that said their margin for day trading NASDAQ minis was $700.00. 3 different people at the firm confirmed this. How could this be so? I thought the Minimum Margin was set by the CME and or the NFA.

where do u get those rates? IB is still $1125 for an NQ contract.

RCG, IB is not the cheapest as far as margin concern in case you didn't know.
