While your rationalization seemingly has merit let's play this through from a few different perspectives...

What if some child make the "mistake" of being born with a congenital condition that's so rare that it's not economically viable for private pharma to develop a treatment without government funding to defray costs?

What of some guy made the "mistake" of becoming a cop only to get shot in the neck and end up a quadriplegic and now needs large chunks of money so that he gets a chance to watch his kids grow up?

What if some wife and kids made the "mistake" of sending their husband and dad off to work in the kitchen of Windows on the World in WTC the morning of 9/11 to earn his pay washing dishes. Now her and the kids need public assistance since he didn't work in the "right" job that had a big death payoff.

Oh give us a break !!! Our nation is "successful" mostly due to the fact that our continent was 'discovered' 10,000+ plus years AFTER the European & Aisian world's had already been fully exploited & developed. Amercas 'success' is nothing less than an accident of history and some good luck.

'Most voters' in America would be far better off to DEMAND nationalization of all productive resources including electric companies, gas companies, and certainly food production companies. This is even more true in view of the fact that the US government (meaning you & me) already OWNS most of these resources.

STOP worshipping the rich!!! You ain't going to be one and they ain't going to give you what they've got.

In any case, it doesn't matter. The gummint shouldn't confiscate anyone's private retirement money to "manage for them". That is not what this country is founded on and there is no way of twisting that around. Deadwood is old, spent and angry...and apparently in the wrong country if he's wanting things to be run his way.

Nutmeg said something a while back about how people have all kinds of great ideas on how to spend other peoples' money. This BS from deadwood is just another example.

Reaver, lets get a few things straight. For one, just because I think your too stupid to manage your own money doesn't mean I think the gov't should. I think they should let you starve to death not raise my taxes.

Second, as a gov't employee yourself, I think you should shut the fuck up. Without big gov't you couldn't feed your family.

Three, no one slapped me in March. I slapped your little punk ass simply by pointing out that as a low income earner you couldn't understand the life of that guy who made 150K/yr.

Four, your a fucking idiot for coming back for more abuse.
