Ah, ha, so a loyalty to principle at the cost of a trading career, I get it, so that must be your angle, that point will surely be argued by you, perhaps not in public though. So according to you, trading is a personal journey that cannot be tainted with the aid of a counselor, I'm certainly not arguing your point but it's logic that is..........well, unusual, the irony is that you make known what your dilemma is to the public, but on the other hand you reject any notion of working with a counselor. It really does not add up, objectively speaking. Well, may the Gods be with you in your quest to unlock what you find confusing about these markets, I really do mean it. I don't believe that what you're requesting can simply be resolved by someone answering your concerns with a few strokes of the keyboard and a few clicks of the mouse and presto!! But hey, who am I to question your stalwart resolve, right?

Learn how to play poker, poker theory etc.

Learn who the players are and their game in whatever you trade and make sure you are not fighting the big boys/playing into their strategies.

If you don't know who the weak hand in the room is it's probably you.

You will not learn how to trade from poker. Arbing has little to do with whether someone needs 3 spades on the flop.

In trading, a straight flush and $3 will barely get you a good cup of coffee.
 
Right, but it will teach you not to enter a game without a strategy, how to manage a bankroll so you don't blow up or bleed out, and how to control your irrationality that wants to keep betting and hoping you'll make your hand on the river when you should really fold. This guy needs those basic skills. If you can't develop a strategy that makes sense and limits risk, and stick to it you are just gambling.
 
I understand I should forget about all the emotions and just focus on the process, but it has been difficult, since I never really found the right set-up.

That was why I tried using random entry before. It worked a lot better than my discretionary trading. However, it still wasn't a profitable system.

Since I started using a trading log, I am starting to see what I did wrong and starting to identify some set-ups.

Now I just have to get more patience and have the gut to enter the set-up.

Today I declare freedom!

It is emotional freedom that I am declaring.

I no longer am depressed about trading.

I now see in perfect clarity how my strategy work.

When I read the book Market Wizards, I can now see exactly who are the real professionals and who are just lucky.

I am still trying to breakeven, but I have 100%+ confidence in my trading strategy.

My mind is now free. I can now move on. :) ...sniff....sniff...
 
I could be that your time frame is not right for you. Some people can focus in on short term moves and others need to swing trade or see a move set-up in slow motion before they are comfortable.
