Don't make it more complicated than it is. The rules for ammending the Constitution are simple. It requires approval by 75% of the state legislatures and two thirds of the federal congress. If you've got the numbers behind you to remove the Second Ammendment, go for it.
In 1778 Thomas Jefferson said: âLaws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.â
A poll in 2005 showed that about 65% of the American public agrees with that statement. So much for "walk forward testing" the Second Ammendment.
