I agree. If someone is on drugs and attacking you, it's just going to piss them off if you shoot them with a .22.

We have a few .45's around here, one of them being an actual Colt from WWII. Unbelievably cool gun, but I wouldn't want to carry it on a daily basis. Very bulky and heavy.
 
Has anyone had any luck selling guns on sites like Gunbroker.com and the like? I've got a few pistols and one AR15 I'm going to sell, and wondering if anyone has had experience selling on that or another site.

I sold two handguns on gunbroker a couple of years ago, no issues.
It's a lot like EBAY.

Depends on the winning bidder. I "sold" a shotgun on gunbroker, and even though the winning bidder had around 110+ good transactions, he didn't pay. Check your PM.

One of my buddies has a judge. He bought it because he did not feel safe spraying 45 's out of his kimber if ever put into a situation while living in an apartment with neighbors on all sides. I think he ran #4 shot in it. He said it would work well but for anything over 10-12 ft the pattern got to wide.
 
Hmm, just saw my Walther p-38 on the local news and their story of personal arms are evil story. Idiots! I continue to conceal and carry by law despite a personal bad experience. I guess I should buy something new and smaller. I have talked to my local law enforcement and am in a better place with them, and I understand their point of view also. Locally we had a bad experience and they admitted they overreacted to me while I was carrying. I appreciate their position and since all of them carry off the job they admitted they "get it" and appreciate someone coming into to talk to them on their level. They offered and I am taking them up on going to the training range. Probably a good idea for everyone carrying.
 
I'll add I have a permit for a full auto, but haven't bought anything yet. Kind of a pain in the ass and expensive, but I'd rather be legal than a couple of people I know.
