Comrade John Brennan's security clearance has been revoked

Army Brigadier General Says John Brennan Is A ‘Clear And Present Danger’ Who Wants To ‘Overthrow’ Trump

Army Brig. Gen. Anthony Tata said former CIA director John Brennan is a “clear and present danger” to the United States and wants to “overthrow” President Donald Trump on Fox News Thursday.

Tata, who is now retired, said Brennan’s tweets disparaging Trump and calling for his removal are enough to revoke his security clearance. (RELATED: John Brennan Offers Theory That Putin Is Blackmailing Trump)

“He spied on American citizens and lied in front of Congress about that spying,” Tata said on “Fox & Friends.” “Question 29 on the security clearance form says, you know, ‘have you ever supported overthrowing the U.S. Government?’ All of you got to look at Brennan’s tweets and he supports the removal of this president, and right there — that’s enough evidence to get rid of his clearance.”

Yeh. I wouldn't mess with him.

It takes a tough man to rise to the rank of general with a last name like "tata."

Trump is making the same mistake he has made with firings of u.s. attorneys etc.

He should have just requested the resignations of all when he entered office, and he should have given a 90 notice that the security clearances of all departed officials will be revoked- but that they can submit requests for continuance in that time period and the agency directors can approve or not approve.
This should be the policy for every new administration.

It’s funny that you all have no issues with Jared Kushner having an access to the top-secret materials without his security clearance for over a year cause his father in law practices nepotism but an ex-CIA director who had access to the highest level of security clearance, lost his clearance over a hissy fit from the president.

President Hissy Fit, I like it.

Yeah, well McRaven sees it differently and he is bona fide. Again, Brennan was the point person on the Bin Laden raid and McRaven was the operation overseer. What’s all of this about treason?

William H. McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Dear Mr. President:

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.

Like most Americans, I had hoped that when you became president, you would rise to the occasion and become the leader this great nation needs.

A good leader tries to embody the best qualities of his or her organization. A good leader sets the example for others to follow. A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself.

Retired Navy admiral William H. McRaven called President Trump’s denunciation of the media a threat to democracy in a speech at UT-Austin. (The University of Texas at Austin)

Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.

If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be.

Yup. And and when Clapper is criticized for lying to Congress/Americans and spying on Americans we start hearing about his service in Viet Nam to try to make it all go away.

I expect that as things start getting tougher for Susan Rice as information comes out, we will hear stories of her doing hand to hand combat in Okinawa and raising the American flag under enemy fire. Ask her about Benghazi though, and she knows nothing.

Bruce Ohr is still in government service. His security clearance should have been removed months ago. That would leave him unable to do his job. Good. That's the point. Every day he does his job, harms America.

Yeah, well McRaven sees it differently and he is bona fide.
Yeah, McRaven's a bona fide political hack with TDS who should keep his mouth shut.

Here's what a real four-star (and "grunt" with an IQ of 168) had to say about comments like that:

It was pretty obvious that under Obama, the top brass were promoted based largely on political considerations. Generally this centered on things that just hurt the services they were supposed to be leading, like women in ground combat, gays and even the whole transgender fiasco. But as we have increasingly seen, leftwing progs tend to engage in group think. Opportunists like McRaven see a chance to get their name out there as a prominent anti-Trumper and make some serious money off it. Maybe even run for high office.

Perhaps it will be beneficial if it breaks the republican party of its uncritical acceptance of anything connected to uniforms and badges. Not all admirals and generals have good judgment, particularly in politics.
