Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

I kind of like the look and feel of Acronis better too. Is there a big downside to using Acronis over Norton?

Acronis might be better, Norton works well every time for me, that is all I ask when the computer is messed up!! One thing that could be a lot better would be if the Norton could tell me what was changed at each restore point, it just gives me the date and time..... I have to guess, but typically I know about how long I have noticed problems and just go back well before the start..

This sounds a lot like spyware or some kind of virus. Go to http://www.majorgeeks.com, look under anti-spyware for SuperAntiSpyware, then install it, and do a full scan - I have found that it cleans a lot of stuff that SpyBot and Ad-Aware miss.

Or maybe you're running Vista? :) If that is the case, downgrade to Windows XP Pro immediately, probably that will improve performance immediately.

No...don't do this...
If all else fails, reformat your hard drive (after backing up your important files of course)..
But avoid those spyware, adaware, antivirus bullshit...they only give you viruses and more problems...
