do this at you own risk but i have had the same problem before and it fix it

take te battary out of the MB and reset the cmos you do it but placing a strip of metal or anything that will complet the loop make sure the pc if off


you mauanl should have instrion on how to reset you r cmos

As you said... "at my own risk". That's what scares me. My motherboard manual gives instruction on clearing the cmos with a jumper change. I assume this resets all config in the CMOS setup utility. I have already sent an email to the MB manufacture for guidance. I think I will see if I get a reply from them first. You said you had this problem once. Was your experience the same as I have detailed mine?

if all else fails reinstall the OS
