Computer question

I think I need to update my computer. I am not a tech guy so I have to ask.
The main issue I am experiencing is that when I click from one tab to another in a browser it takes too long to load that new page. Is that a slow processor? or RAM? I have a good internet connection.

The computer I have now is light on RAM at 8GB, processor is Intel 3.40GHz

so, as I go out shopping for a new computer, what stats does it need to have to be a good computer for trading? this will probably be a desktop with 2 screens like I have now...

please do not make fun of my lack of hardware knowledge..

Win 10 64bit
8GB+RAM-more is better-not more than 16GB
Quad Core processor-I like I5 from Intel, you don't need I7-You can save money with a quad core AMD
Ability for 2 monitors-if that is what you need
SSD is better than HD but not worth the extra cost for normal trading.

Is it a 32 Bit OS?

Go to Control panel
system
cut and paste here what it says.

Tried rebooting?
Tried installing a different browser to see if the problem is browser specific?
If it is, it could be a recent (or more) extension/addon etc. that's causing the problem.

I doubt your problem is RAM. Run an internet speed test. Also defrag and restart your computer.

It's difficult to diagnose your problem without more info.
As Robert Morse suggested, copy your hardware config in your next posting:
Simultaneously press the Windows Key (the one between the Ctrl and Alt keys) and the Pause/Break key. That will bring up Control Panel with a summary of your System. We will need the following: Windows Edition, Processor, Installed Memory, and System Type.

Will also need the Browser type (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox) before giving a recommendation.

That could be a failing hard drive. First establish if it's software related. Download Ccleaner and run a full clean of redundant temp files and registry entries. If that doesn't fix it, reinstall the browser and do a hard drive error check.

Last resort, run some diagnostics and try a new hard drive. Good luck.
